Oppressive heat

Oppressive heat. Everyone and their dog has been speaking about the heat here in New York City.
I've tended towards reminding them that they've complained about everyone other type of weather this city has to offer.. but I really think it's been hard on me this week.
I apologize for the light posting. I've just been so tired and down this week. Physically, mentally, emotionally drained. I suppose stuck processing the extensive changes that are all coming so fast. I am excited about Africa, but the change gonna come and it's coming really soon.
Taking it easy this weekend and I plan to just rest some more. I feel the need for it.

I'll post some fun things before the end of the day. But, know you are not forgotten. I'm just tired.

Last Last Weekend

Dearest Friends,
I have just had the most enjoyable Fourth of July weekend... however, I am still working on my weekend pics from LAST weekend. I apologize for the sparse blogging this week, it has been a hectic work week at the office and the count down to four months in Africa.. has begun... less than a month!
So here are some pictures below of Jean Michelle and I meandering through central park after our viewing of Coco and Igor, and ending up on the fountain at Lincoln Center. Such a magical evening.

Fourth of July weekend pics to come... still working on the edits.

Hope your weekend was Fabulous!
Welcome to another work week!

Quality Meats.. I am dying to eat here. I loved this little window.

Central Park and me with my vintage Chanel bag.. Ode to Judy!
We happened upon Lincoln Center just at the Ballet was letting out. I cannot get over the massive breathtaking Chagall's hanging in the windows. Such a stunning display!
The Lincoln Center fountain is a captivating display. The crowd could not take their eyes off of it.
We always lay on the fountain.. there is just nothing like it.

Lovely Chagall.
My dearest Ashley decided to come join us!

I feel it all

I am starting to understand the possible impact of this step and it is terrifying...
Thrilling, yet terrifying.

Weekend photos

My weekend proved to be fantastic.
I am at home in Manhattan with so many people that I have come to love.
Living here five plus years has given history and this weekend I was able to take some time going back to my old stomping grounds down town. Living on Lafayette street when I first moved here,
Greenwich village, the Lower East Side, Little Italy and China town were my common places.
It was a delight going back to China town with my girls and tragic to see that all of our favorite places have changed or gone out of business. We took full responsibility realizing that it has been quite a while since we've been back. Who knew our patronage was keeping them afloat! Walking through Washington Square park and through the East Village to get to a party proved to be a delight as well. Celebrating the Wasko's 10th wedding anniversary in a quaint community garden was such a treat.
The weekend was too short, but much loved.

Goodbye for the weekend, My Lovelies...

Good morning.. eeerrr afternoon!
It's been a long week and the last couple nights have been LATE!
I am feeling the pain from my workout earlier this week, exhausted from one too many late nights and sooooo ready for the weekend!

Tonight I am greatly looking forward to spending some quality time with a group of ladies I rarely get to see, started off by some of the best Chinese food in town (our hidden treasure)! Tomorrow starts off a brunch  with one of my nearest and dearest, later to be followed by a fabulous 10th Anniversary party I am greatly looking forward to. A leisurely sunday will start slowly with a picnic in the park and ending off with my lovely church family, TGC

I hope yours deems equally as full and serene as mine!

I will leave you with this music video recently put out by two of my favorite boys.. err men on the planet! They are like brothers to me. Andreas (lead singer) and Kristen (lead actor) are the brothers of my closest Friend Camilla. The Bevan family has been like my own for several years now. I spent a week on the southern coast of Norway with them last summer and am still living off the glorious music we created on that trip!

Love you, Bevans!!!
